Life is indeed a journey. Praise be to God that as believers we do not have to walk alone. We have but to yield our will to the Lord and He will guide us from day-to-day. How do we truly let Him guide us in our decisions, in our words and in our actions? Through the word of God.
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Psalms 119:105 If the path that we are traveling on is not lighted, we are sure to stumble. God’s word is the light that will shine on the path, showing us which way we should go.
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord:” Psalms 37:23
When we wake up in the morning, let us seek the Lord’s will for that day by praying, “Lord order my steps”. Ask Him to lead you in your activities and interactions with others. Pray that He will give you peace in your decision-making.
There is a peace that comes from knowing that we are moving forward in the will of God. Do not move forward in any decision if you do not have peace. His peace acts as a protective barrier from harm. So trust that “feeling” that something is not right and learn to recognize the prompting of the Holy Spirit by seeking Him in all things. The only way that we can truly recognize someone’s voice is by talking to them frequently. So, begin to talk to the Lord about everything, learn His voice and let Him be your guide. No matter how big or how small your request or concern is, He is always listening and He truly cares.
Very encouraging thanks. I am getting ready to make some major life decisions and praying for God’s counsel.
SISTERS….what a brief, YET powerfully encouraging message we got today!!! I press to live by this: “There is a peace that comes from knowing that we are moving forward in the will of God. Do not move forward in any decision if you do not have peace. His peace acts as a protective barrier from harm.” ~ Thank You Jesus for downloading this into our beloved Sister, Joann & having her share. Let’s pray her continued strength, wisdom, & faith in the Lord’s will! God’s Love & blessings upon ALL ;-}
Amen! I praise Him that we never have to walk alone.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank God for laying this on your heart Joann, especially for me. Lately I’ve allowed distractions in my life to disconnect me from my morning prayer time and I’ve not allowed God to order my steps as I normally do. But I praise God for this I feel like I got a push in my spsirit to get back where I need to be and a reminder from God that He hasn’t forgotten about me and He still has purpose for me. Bless you Joann and praise God for His Word and His will being followed and done this morning.
I need thee every hour, Oh Lord, every day! Walk with me!
