Blessings Ladies,

I am so thankful for the years God has allowed us to grow together online. It’s been a wonderful journey and brings such joy to my life! I believe this is one of the reasons why God keeps placing a face-to-face gathering of women on my heart.

We carry so much weight and juggle impossible circumstances much of the time BUT we are strong and God continues to carry us. I am bringing together 2 of my good friends, Evangelist Latezes Bridges, Dr. Delilah Crowder and myself to pour into you!

My vision is to minister to you on every level; mind, soul and spirit. In Christ, you are COMPLETE and everything you need is already inside you. I hope you will make the time to come and be with us!

July 29-30 at RainFire Church in Douglasville Georgia. Register today at www.RainFireChurch.org

Love you with all my heart!

Do You Believe This?

Do You Believe This?

The Story of Lazarus is mystical and full of awe. It is found in John Chapter 11 of the New Testament.

Please go there and read the whole chapter as soon as you can, while we focus on a few key points.

Lazarus had a connection to Jesus and when he fell sick, his sister Mary sent word for Jesus, the healer to come.  When Jesus got the word, he made the comment that the sickness wouldn’t end in Lazarus dying.

Stop. Right. There. Is there a situation in your life that is sick? Maybe there is a circumstance that has you emotionally sick. Worse yet, you could actually be physically sick right now; let me just tell you that by the power of the Holy Spirit, you have a connection to Jesus and He knows exactly what is going on.

In the text after reading that Jesus didn’t jump up and leave where he was to go and see about Lazarus, you may wonder why. While it is okay to wonder “Why?”  things happen, it is not okay to keep wondering and being sad while throwing pity parties or being angry and becoming bitter. We find a reassurance in the verse that says, “Jesus loved Martha, her sister and Lazarus.” My sister, Jesus loves you, too.

So don’t you let the enemy tell you that God doesn’t care and that is why He hasn’t delivered you. Don’t let him whisper to you that God is not real and that is why your situation hasn’t changed. Jesus knows and He cares about what you are going through. He even set it up to have you reading this blog right now to tell you that!

Not only was Jesus not worried about what was going to happen with Lazarus, He also was not one to explain His every move. The disciples asked questions as they tried to figure out what exactly Jesus was going to do about Lazarus and Jesus answered those questions. However, they didn’t have the full understand of the miracle that was about to take place. Even still, they had enough sense to continue to FOLLOW HIM. I want to encourage you today to follow Jesus at any cost. Walk by faith and not by sight, trusting him blindly with your future.

By the time Jesus came to Lazarus, he was dead and buried. Both his sisters were grieving and Martha was very emotional. If you really want to sit down and “Have a little talk with Jesus” be prepared for Him to respond. When Martha questioned Jesus,  His response to her question was a revelation.

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Mary believed what Jesus said and that same day, Jesus spoke to her dead brother, Lazarus and he was resurrected!

My sister, do you believe this? Do you believe that Jesus can speak to your dead situation and cause it to rise, like it never died? He can resurrect your dead feelings for your spouse. He can resurrect your foreclosure into a loan modification. He can resurrect your backslidden heart into a fiery passion that burns for Christ and His Kingdom’s establishment on the earth.

“With God All things are possible to him that believes.” Matthew 19:26

As we consider the work of Calvary today reflect on the simplicity of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. He knows what it is like to experience betrayal, abuse, heartache, despair and anything else that you have experienced, yet he still quietly took the walk to Calvary that allowed us all access to Heaven, if we will only believe on Him.

As we prepare for Resurrection Sunday please understand that your “Lazurus”, your dead thing, is nothing compared to the resurrection power that lives in you if you have accepted Christ as Lord. In the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, speak to your Lazarus and watch it rise up!

Help STOP the IRS from hurting non-profits and churches!

Urgent: Help us stop the IRS’ “Substantiation Requirements for Certain Contributions” proposal by sharing your opinion by Dec. 17.

A recent proposal by the IRS has really caused concern  and has set off alarm bells for ministries across America. If you’ve not heard what the IRS is proposing, let me tell you about it—as I believe stopping this from happening is vitally important to the future well being of pastors and churches.

The IRS has proposed a new rule called the “Substantiation Requirement for Certain Contributions,” which creates a new system by which 501(c)(3) nonprofits may choose, voluntarily for now, to collect and send to the IRS Social Security numbers and other personal information from donors who give gifts more than $250. This would be in lieu of sending written acknowledgments to the donors themselves as proof of their gifts.

You read that right. If this new IRS rule is passed, instead of sending a donor a “written receipt,” charities (including churches and ministries) would collect Social Security numbers along with other personal data from donors contributing $250 or more. This information would be passed along to the IRS for tax reporting purposes.

Gloria and I have numerous concerns in response to this proposal. Here are just a few:

  • If adopted, churches and ministries will be hurt by this new rule, because people will be reluctant to make a donation if it means they have to share their private, Social Security number.
  • To protect donors, churches and ministries would be required to invest precious resources into new computer equipment and data security to prevent hackers from gaining access to their donors’ Social Security numbers and other personal data
  • It’s common sense that everyone should be cautious about giving out his or her Social Security number. Even the IRS advises that Social Security numbers should not be shared unless “absolutely necessary.” This new proposal is certainly not absolutely necessary, as the current process for issuing donor receipts isn’t broken, and it doesn’t need fixing.
  • Don’t be fooled by this new rule being “optional” for charities (including churches and ministries). All it takes to make it required is changing the word “voluntary” to “mandatory.”

Help us stop this new proposal from becoming IRS law by completing these three steps by Wednesday, Dec. 17:

  1. Click here to email Senator Mike Crapo, a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance, letting him know you oppose the Substantiation Requirements for Certain Contributions IRS proposal.
  2. Click here to email Orrin G. Hatch, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance, letting him know you oppose the Substantiation Requirements for Certain Contributions IRS proposal.
  3. Click here to leave a comment on the regulations.gov website, letting them know you oppose the Substantiation Requirements for Certain Contributions IRS proposal.

Please take action by Wednesday, Dec. 17 to ensure we stop this proposal in its tracks!

P.S. Don’t forget to unite with us in prayer over this issue! We’re standing on Matthew 16:18: I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
